Getting Faster

I'm getting faster when I run which is a great feeling!  After my first four mile run/walk a few weeks ago that I did in 48 minutes, I did a four mile run comprised of ALL RUNNING! in 47:00.  I was super pumped that day because that wasn't even my goal but I made it happen.  I've run two more four mile routes since then and even though I have had to stop and walk for a few seconds here and there (it's been really hot), my time has been faster and faster.  Yesterday my time was 44:00.  Slow progess is better than any progress!

Last week on one of those four milers I got to run near the beach in my hometown (Holland...a great place if you've never been there!).  It was beautiful and really motivated me to do a great job.  I wish I could run there everyday!


Even though I've been progressing in my running, my training really lacked last week due to nasty weather and drama/stress from work.  But the only thing to do is get back to it this week!  I have a pretty intense week coming up so we'll see how things go!

I've started growing fresh vegetables on my porch.  I have tomatoes, red peppers, green peppers, and jalapenos.  I'm excited to share some healthy recipes with you in the coming weeks!  :)
