Swim, Bike, Run....30 Day Countdown!

Today I swam, rode my bike, and ran, back, to back, to back for the first time.  I did about 20 minutes of each sport and was not too concerned with transitioning between them quickly.  My goal was to get my muscles used to doing all three sports consecutively.  I felt pretty good afterwards and was happy that I was able to run the whole distance that I had mapped out without stopping to walk.  I've never run that far/that long during a brick workout before so I am definitely gaining a lot of confidence for the actual race!

I have officially entered the 30 day countdown mark for my triathlon!  I can't believe how fast it is creeping up on me.  The triathlon is at the end of a week of vacation away from work.  The past few days I get excited thinking that my vacation is only a few weeks away.  And then I remember the triathlon at the end of it and I wish vacation was a little further away!  Not that I think I wouldn't finish the triathlon.  I can confidently say that if I had do the race tomorrow, I would be able to finish it without dying.  But, as the race gets closer and closer, I realize how much I want to have a competitive time and do well.  So, my focus for this last 30 days is GETTING FASTER.
